Tampa: A Florida couple has been shot after hitting a jackpot at the Seminole Hard Rock Casino. The incident occurred on August 1st, 2024, and was captured on video by the homeowner’s camera system.
After what was a fantastic night at the casino, Richard Delacruz and his girlfriend followed home and viciously attacked on their doorstep. The two masked assailants can be heard demanding money before a curious neighbor sees what is happening and scares the men off.
Delacruz told reports on FOX13 that he can’t sleep because he is in so much pain. Doctors said that Delacruz was shot in both legs and that it could be six months before he will be able to walk again. Delacruz also stated that his girlfriend, Kim Chambliss, was shot in her calf.
Chambliss told reporters that she and Richard started the night with dinner and drinks before moving to the casino. The couple only gets to go out sometimes as they both work full-time jobs, so after dinner, they go to the casino floor. After hitting a jackpot and netting over $3k, the couple cashed out and headed home. It wasn’t until they got to their door that they noticed they had been followed.
